CSI Utilities are a selection of extensions for Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager

The CSI Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager utilities are low cost easy to install modules designed to enhance and streamline your Elements/Direct Model Manager PDM system. Each utility has a standard site license, support and optional implementation cost as show in the table below. The implementation cost per Utility is based on standard Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager implementations and may increase due to onsite customisation. See the Product and support codes below each Utility for ordering purposes, web install does not have a product code but is required.

Auto Numbering by Category

Use Model: This feature extends the built in Auto-Numbering facility so that numbers can be assigned from several different categories, rather than just a single category that the PTC Rolling Number Generator (RNG) allows you to use. For instance you could pick Manuf. Part, Purchase Part or Stock Part and get a number assigned from a different category.

Setup: Your system administrator or Creo support partner can modify the XML configuration of your Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager to add this utility.

Auto Create Sub Packets

Use Model: When a user creates a Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager Folder (Packet) they will be prompted with a drop down list of the available sub folder templates. The selection of a template is optional, if one is selected the system will automatically create a number of sub folders as specified in the template.

Setup: Your system administrator or Creo support partner can modify the XML configuration of your Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager to add predefined folder structure templates. There is no limit to the number of templates and you can modify them if your requirements change.

Auto Add Document to Packet

Use Model: When a user creates a Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager Folder (Packet) they will be prompted with a drop down list of the available document templates. The selection of a template is optional, if one is selected the system will automatically create a number of documents as specified in the template.

Setup: Your system administrator or Creo support partner can modify the XML configuration of your Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager to add specifiy the template document required and the new name it will take when added to the folder. There is no limit to the number of documents you can add.

Default Group Owned Packets

Use Model: When a user creates a Folder (Packet) The ownership of the Folder will automatically be owned by the specified group saving the creator from having to remember to send the Folder to a group to give them permission to add and remove documents or modify Folder attributes.

Setup: Your system administrator or Creo support partner can modify the XML configuration of your Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager to add predefined folder ownership by Group.

Display Group Owned folders in Save UI

Use Model: When saving objects to Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager the user has the option of storing the objects to any Folder/Packet they own. This useful utility will also provide the user with a list of all folders owned by any Group they are a member of.

Setup: Your system administrator or Creo support partner can modify the XML configuration of your Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager to include this utility.

Alpha Numeric options on Document Drag and Drop

Use Model: This utility makes it possible for users to decide if they want alpha or numeric revisioning (issues) when they drag and drop document into Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager using the CSI Anydocs module.
