A Quick search option and a new clean appearance enables you to spend more time working and less time searching for files. All the advanced search option are still available with an improved option of grouping similar filters. New folder icons and highlights give you improved visibility and access to your current working folder.

The Category Browser (formerly known as Classification Tree) is a great way to organise quickly find items in DDM. Administration has been simplified to enable authorised users to dynamically add and edit Categories from the main user interface, as well as the ability to Categorise multiple items in one hit.

Business Units have been extended in DDM 2010.2 to enable secure access control over data visibility. Information assigned to a Business Unit can now only be seen by members of that Business Unit. Project Folders can now be controlled in addition to Parts, Assemblies, Drawings and Documents.

DDM Web is a great way to easily and securely access information online. New features include BOM export and print options, item subscription and folder content download. The DDM Web Interface has been updated to match the new clean look of DDM Office and can be customised to include corporate logo and colours.

DDM Administration is even easier than before. Simple ideas, such as ‘Add Similar’ allows the creation of new users in the same role to automatically adopt the groups, roles and access controls of an existing user. ‘Profiles’ allow administrators to control which database classes a user will have access to.
